Happy Ending: Chase It Or Leave It?

We were almost at the top of our dreams
To live our fantasies, it was our scheme
Fly the seventh heaven together holding hands
Nothing can obstruct our way in just a glance.


But things aren't the same from what I was expecting
As we engaged ourselves in a battle both losing
We didn't fill the bill; our aims had gone into waste
The foundation built by our love is now crumbling with haste.


Our hearts were drowned by tears caused by regrets
We let stumbling blocks hinder the coming of blissful state
Everything eventually collapsed; we left each other's heart broken
Parting with our tongue tied; the smiles on our faces were stolen.


We invested so much of us to be beautiful lovers
But in just a couple of minutes, we ended up as strangers
Wanting to put the memories to oblivion as if they didn't happen
Because together with flashbacks are remorses and burdens.


Clock, please tick counterclockwise, stop in the old times
Where everything had gone smooth and not out-of-rhyme
I'll chase happy ending no matter how hard could it be
Don't care if we'll go back to zero, I'll write our successful story!
